Happy Easter!
These beaded Romanian eggs have been in my family for as long as I can remember. Romanian Orthodox Easter isn’t until next Sunday, but we celebrate both around here. 🙂
We also have a little tradition with our Easter eggs – a contest of knocking the eggs together, so to speak. Person #1 says “Christos a inviat!” (Christ is risen – though why isn’t it has risen I wonder?). Then person #2 will say “Adevarat a inviat!” (He is risen indeed) and knock the ends of the eggs together. Whoever’s doesn’t break wins. Silly, I know, but it always turns into a funny competitive thing, and there’s always one magical egg that wins it all. (And no, we don’t use the pretty beaded eggs for this! haha)
I hope everyone has a beautiful Easter with their families!
