I took this image of my daughter on her 16 month “birthday” (yes, we celebrate every month!). I think it captures her spirit perfectly. Gleeful. A little mischievous. Loud. And just gosh darn happy. I absolutely love taking photographs of children because that’s one thing they all seem to have in common. They have that beautiful, carefree energy that’s just so infectious. That phrase “Let them be little” really resonates with me for this very reason. Let them be little, let them be happy.

*For the record, I believe it was a rousing rendition of “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” that got her to throw her hands up right at “…up came the sun and dried up all the rain…” 😉
