This family is just about the cutest, I just can’t stand it! It’s always an honor to photograph a family of another photographer and I’m so so thrilled that in the process of taking pictures of these guys over the years, Erin has become a friend as well. We leaned on each other this past fall after the Woolsey fire destroyed basically all of our locations, and it truly was a comfort in having someone who understood completely all of the myriad of emotions that came along with.

I can definitively say this is the last session taken at Paramount Ranch before the fires swept through last November and destroyed the landmark western town. We did this session November 8th, and towards the end as we were finishing up, noticed a large plume of smoke in the distance. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that within hours, the very spot we were standing on would be forever changed. The wee silver lining is that at least I got to experience this magical place with a family that I adore. <3
